 Today we worked on narrative writing. We did 2 paragraphs focused on the topic of a 8 year old being called a “Nigger”.

 We finished the practice for the persuasive essay we may receive on the test.

 Today we reviewed the Argumentative Essay. One of the possible essays I could have on the Georgia Milestone. I understand the concept, this isn’t the first time I’ve done this. 

 Today we presented our poems. Everyone had good poems in my opinion. It was very interesting hearing everyone’s poem. We also read “The Color Purple” again today. Seems like Harpo is depressed and is overeating. Sophia left and Harpo couldn’t stop her.

 Today we read more letters from "The Color Purple", watched the movie scenes of them, and worked on our poems from them. In the book it seemed like Mr or "Albert" is vulnerable and scared of shug avery. Something we haven't seen from him.

 

 We started reading Letters 20-25 in “The Color Purple”. There was questions we had to answer after it. We only answered question 1 today. We’ll answer the rest tomorrow 

 Today we finished the benchmark. The last question, question 20. It was very easy in my opinion. 3 paragraph essay. I had Mr. Rease check over it, he said it was fine. So I believe I’m good.

 Today we took benchmark 3. A county wide test i'm assuming. We only did questions 1-19, we're doing question 20 tomorrow. I think I did good on questions 1-19. They weren't really hard at all.

 My group presented today. I think we did alright. Group 4’s presentation was good as well. Especially their picture they showed. That was actually really good.

 Today Groups 2,6, and 7 presented.  Group 2 had a great presentation. Group 6 had a good presentation. I feel group 7’s presentation was well presented. I present tomorrow and I assume we will do good

 Today we took down notes titled “The Eight Common Rules”. It was mostly about where to place commas. After that, we used the notes to write our own letter to God.

 Today we read “The Color Purple” again. It seems Celie had now gotten married but only worries about the woman her father is with now. She had seen her kid which she thought had been killed. The book is very unsettling I have to say
